Job summary

The Hathaway Academy in Grays is seeking a part-time Cleaning Operative to maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the school environment. The role involves 10 hours per week during term time, with afternoon shifts from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, at NJC 3 scale.

You will join a supportive cleaning team, ensuring health and safety standards are met and contributing to a positive learning environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar environment with basic cleaning methods and the use of equipment.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance in the cleaning process.
• Collaborate with colleagues and be supported by supervisors to maintain cleanliness.
