Job summary

The Hathaway Academy in Grays, part of Academy Transformation Trust, is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our day-to-day facilities team. You will perform cleaning and sanitisation duties, ensuring Health & Safety compliance and a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.

The role is permanent, 20 hours per week for 44 weeks (term time). Applicants should have prior cleaning experience, basic cleaning methods and equipment use, a good standard of literacy and numeracy, and the

• Previous cleaning experience in a similar environment.
• Basic cleaning methods and equipment use.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day cleaning and sanitisation of the building and facilities.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance is followed.
• Support the team with cleaning duties as required by the Catering Supervisor and SLT.
• Work collaboratively within a well-led cleaning team.
