Job summary

Apleona Hsg S.P.A. is recruiting a School Cleaner for term-time duties at Broxburn Academy, EH52 6AG. The role runs Monday to Friday, 15:30–19:30, during school terms and offers a salary of £12,535.40 per annum with 25 days leave plus bank holidays.

You will clean to BICS standards, replenish supplies, and report hazards while working as part of a team. PVG/security checks apply; right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Customer care skills required for interacting with staff and pupils.
• Attention to detail essential to maintain hygiene standards.
• Previous cleaning experience in a school setting preferred.
• Experience using cleaning industry colour coding.
• Reliable, punctual and well organised in shifting schedules.
• Clear communication skills with team and supervisors.
• Flexibility to cover team during absences and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within a school environment to high standards.
• Carry out routine and deep cleaning tasks using a range of tools and materials.
• Replenish supplies, dispose of waste and report hazards or maintenance issues.
• Support the team during absence and holidays as needed.
