Job summary

Vertas is seeking a dedicated School Chef to join our Catering Team at Brinsley Primary & Nursery. You will work 8:15am to 1:15pm, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year, supporting nutritious meal service.

You will follow food safety and hygiene guidelines, assist with stock control, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and complete records in line with procedures while delivering excellent food and service to pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving nutritious meals in line with menu specifications.
• Supporting the daily operation of the kitchen and maintaining service standards.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure an efficient catering service.
• Following food safety, hygiene and Health and Safety requirements.
• Assisting with stock control and helping to minimise waste.
• Completing records in line with company procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
