Job summary

Impact Food Group is recruiting a Chef at The Marlbourugh C of E School in OX20. Working Monday to Friday, 7am–2pm (32.5 hours/week), 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days). Pay is £22,360 per annum.

You will support the onsite Chef Manager to deliver high-quality, freshly prepared meals for students and staff, preparing main meals and snacks with fresh ingredients in a high-volume kitchen. This role offers good work-life balance, free meals on shift, ongoing training and progression

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, ideally within a school or contract catering environment.
• Passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and delivering quality food.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication, with a can-do attitude.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of main meals and snacks.
• Cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients for high-volume service (200+ covers).
• Supporting with occasional counter service and till work.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and dining environment at all times.
