Job summary

Lancashire County Council’s schools catering service is hiring a part-time Catering Assistant at English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, Preston. You will join a team delivering high-quality, healthy meals for school children, working 10 hours per week during term time.

The role requires teamwork, the ability to work under pressure, and good customer care. Prior catering and food preparation experience is desirable; DBS disclosure may be required and some days are outside term time for cleaning

Qualifications

• Good customer care skills.
• Previous catering and food preparation experience would be desirable

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Clean all equipment and catering areas.
