Job summary

Compass is seeking DBS-cleared Catering Assistants to support school sites across Liverpool. These positions are part-time, term-time casual roles with Monday–Friday hours within school day schedules.

You will deliver school lunches, serve meals and drinks, assist in food prep, and maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout shifts. The role requires friendly customer service, teamwork, and the ability to stay calm during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to stay calm during high-volume periods.
• Confidence when interacting with people.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Willingness to walk and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Providing a friendly and enthusiastic service.
• Producing, and serving, consistently high-quality meals and snacks.
• Serving hot and cold drinks.
• Cleaning down workstations and tables as well as using a pot wash.
• Restocking cupboards and fridges.
• Conducting quality checks.
