Job summary

Berkeley Scott is sourcing School Catering Assistants for temporary placements across the Bruton area in Somerset. The roles involve daytime shifts in schools, with term-time patterns and ongoing assignments.

You will help with food preparation, serving meals, and ensuring hygiene standards are met, while a current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is mandatory. Pay ranges from £12.71 to £13.45 per hour, with weekly wages and holiday pay accrued.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or school catering is preferred but not essential.
• DBS certificate is mandatory or willingness to obtain one.
• Reliable, hardworking and comfortable in educational settings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to follow food safety rules.
