Job summary

Berkeley Scott Recruitment are actively recruiting experienced Catering Assistants for the new school year starting in September. We have roles across schools in the Bath area; flexible, term-time opportunities with weekly pay.

If you are experienced, with Food Safety and Allergen qualifications and an Enhanced DBS, we want to hear from you. Pay rates depend on experience and client, with shifts that fit around childcare.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Catering Assistant in education preferred.
• Food safety and allergen qualifications required or willing to complete.
• Enhanced DBS with child safeguarding or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced catering environments.
• Positive, reliable and professional approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen teams and catering manager.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold food items.
• Assist with food service for children, liaising with teachers.
• Operate tills and handle payments where required.
• Clear down and close units at end of shifts.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow food safety and allergen legislation at all times.
• Ensure service areas are clean, organised and well stocked.
• Work with school staff to deliver an efficient service.
