Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in London is seeking a School Business Manager to lead financial planning, procurement, and administrative services. This permanent role, 36 hours per week, term-time only, offers a proactive candidate the chance to drive efficiency across the school and work closely with the governing body and Barnet local authority.

Qualifications

• Certificate of School Business Management (CSBM) or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations, codes of practice and government policies (OSFTED, safeguarding, health and safety, data protection).
• Proficient user of MS Office and/or other in-house software.
• Experience in procurement, service contracts, licences and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process, including securing service contracts, licences and insurance.
• Line manage school support staff.
• Oversee facilities management including premises and lettings, liaising with external contractors.
• Negotiate, monitor licences, insurances and contracts for the school.
• Develop administrative and financial procedures and budget planning.
