Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking a Pupil Support Assistant for Rephad Primary School in the Stranraer cluster. The role is 11 hours per week, term-time over 39 weeks, fixed term until July 2027, with potential secondment options after line-manager approval.

You will support children with or without additional support needs, helping them participate in lessons, stay safe, and develop new skills while fostering a positive learning environment.

Formación

• Educated to SCQF Level 4 (e.g. Standard Grade General, National 4) or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children/young people.

Responsabilidades

• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Help them take part in lessons and encourage independence.
• Support them in learning new skills and help them feel safe, happy and ready to learn.
• Support children and young people with additional support needs to overcome barriers to learning.
