Job summary

Almendraconsulting is seeking experienced PCV drivers for private school transport around Ipswich. The role operates during school terms and involves transporting pupils in 16- to 53-seat buses, with roughly 30–35 hours per week and potential overtime.

Candidates must hold a PCV Category D entitlement, Driver CPC, and DBS clearance (or be willing to obtain them). UK work rights and good communication with schools and pupils are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid PCV / Category D entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC and relevant passenger transport qualifications.
• Experience driving buses/passenger transport.
• DBS clearance or willingness and ability to obtain DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable and professional passenger transport for private school contracts.
• Drive vehicles ranging from 16-seat minibuses to 53-seat buses.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach with pupils, schools, parents and clients.
• Follow all road traffic laws, company procedures and passenger transport requirements.
• Work approximately 30–35 hours per week during school term time.
• Undertake additional overtime and weekend work where available and mutually agreed.
