Job summary

Norse Transport Division are seeking an experienced Passenger Assistant for the depot in Great Yarmouth. You will accompany the Minibus Driver to transport vulnerable children and adults, delivering a caring tailored service and supporting wellbeing.

This is a part-time role (25 hours/week, Mon-Fri, AM & PM school runs during term time). DBS check is required; ongoing training and development are provided. Salary is pro rata with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

• Transport vulnerable children and adults to and from destinations with the Minibus Driver.
• Support wellbeing and provide a caring tailored service during journeys.
• Build relationships with clients and ensure a safe, smooth journey.
• Carry out physical tasks such as lifting wheelchairs and securing items with straps.

Job description

Norse Transport Division are currently seeking an experienced Passenger Assistant to work in at our depot based in Great Yarmouth. You will work alongside the Minibus Driver to transport our vulnerable children and adults to and from their destinations, supporting their wellbeing, providing a caring tailored service, and ensuring a successful journey., As the Passenger Assistant you will be responsible for playing a vital role in supporting our vulnerable children and adults in their journey. This is an essential service we operate across Norfolk. You will have firsthand experience building relationships with our clients providing a caring tailored service to the local community. This is a physical role as you will often be required to lift wheelchairs and use ratchet straps to secure items in the minibus. This position is offering 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday working both the AM & PM school runs during term-time.
