Job summary

Bonners Primary School & Nursery in Maresfield near Uckfield is seeking a nursery assistant to join our team. The role is part-time, 31 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks plus 6.05 weeks annual leave) and salary will be pro rata.

It is fixed term to cover maternity leave until October 2027 with potential for hours beyond this depending on nursery needs. Responsibilities include providing a safe, nurturing environment, maintaining a clean nursery, and following health and safety guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a nursery or childcare setting preferred but not necessary.
• Ability to engage and interact with children in a positive and supportive manner.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
