Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Mobile General Assistant to support school catering operations at Rowley Regis, Walsall, Bilston & Brewood. You’ll prep meals, keep kitchens and serving areas clean, assist with loading deliveries, and help ensure food hygiene and safety standards.

This role is term-time, 20 hours per week, with a 39-week contract paid over 52 weeks, and requires a driving licence with access to a vehicle for daily site travel.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates teamwork and a dedicated, orderly approach.
• Able to prioritise tasks, work under pressure and communicate clearly at all levels.
• Shows punctuality and reliability in attendance and performance.
• Experience in a similar hospitality/food service environment is helpful.
• Drives and has access to a vehicle for travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for the school team and pupils.
• Keep kitchen and serving areas stocked, clean and hygienic.
• Support loading and unloading of deliveries.
• Observe food handling and hygiene regulations.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Ensure machines and equipment are operated correctly.
• Uphold the reputation of the company.
