Job summary

St George's School in Newport, Isle of Wight, is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to help supervise pupils during the midday break. You will lay up and clear away eating equipment and assist with feeding individual children, while promoting safe, positive behaviours.

The role is term-time only, permanent, 10 hours per week (2 hours daily, Mon–Fri, 11:30–13:30). A full enhanced DBS is required and safeguarding is central to practice.

Qualifications

• Excellent ability to build good relationships with colleagues and pupils.
• Willingness to undertake training as necessary.
• Understanding of safeguarding and ability to uphold it in practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during the midday break across school premises.
• Lay up and clear away eating equipment and assist with feeding individual children as required.
• Encourage appropriate behaviours and eating skills while maintaining a safe environment.
