Job summary

St George's School in Newport, Isle of Wight, is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to help supervise pupils during the midday break. You will lay up and clear away eating equipment and assist with feeding individual children, while promoting safe, positive behaviours.

The role is term-time only, permanent, 10 hours per week (2 hours daily, Mon–Fri, 11:30–13:30). A full enhanced DBS is required and safeguarding is central to practice.

  • Willingness to undertake training as necessary.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and ability to uphold it in practice.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pupils during the midday break across school premises.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Your role willinclude the supervision of pupils across school premises, laying up andclearing away of eating equipment and feeding individual children as required,whilst encouraging appropriate behaviours and eating skills.
