Job summary

Sir Henry Fermor CE Primary School, part of The Tenax Schools Trust, is looking to appoint an energetic, caring and flexible Midday Supervisor. The role runs 12:00–13:30, Monday to Friday, term-time only, 7.5 hours per week, with a pro rata salary around £4,027 for the 38 weeks plus 1 day per year.

You will supervise children in the dining hall and on the playground, support lunchtime routines, ensure safety, and assist with meals and first aid as needed. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• No previous experience or qualifications required (suitable for recent school leavers).
• First Aid qualification would be an advantage.
• Ability to communicate with pupils during midday breaks and promote safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils entering the dining room in a safe, orderly manner and monitor lunchtime queues.
• Seat pupils during meals and ensure drinks and adequate food are provided.
• Assist during mealtime with spills, feeding support, and pupils’ personal needs as required.
• Clear tables and maintain a clean dining area for subsequent sittings.
• Supervise on the playground after lunch and support safe play and behaviour.
• Provide first aid if needed and respond to minor accidents promptly.
