Job summary

Halton Borough Council is seeking two Midday Assistants to join our team. The roles are term-time only, 38 weeks plus 3 days, with approx. 4 hours 10 minutes per shift, covering two lunch sessions as required. A DBS check and references will be part of the shortlisting process.

Flexibility to cover slightly longer hours and to work with pupils in a calm, caring manner is essential. Interviews are scheduled for 18/09/2026.

Qualifications

• DBS check required; references will be taken up before any offer.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist pupils during lunch breaks; ensure safety and enjoyment.
• Interact calmly with pupils and staff, supporting the school values of respect and kindness.
