Job summary

East Durham College is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to deliver an ambitious curriculum and provide additional learning support for learners with learning difficulties or disabilities. The role focuses on enabling access to education and delivering a high-quality learning experience acrossCourses, while upholding safeguarding and inclusion standards.

Applicants should have GCSEs in maths and English (or equivalent) and a commitment to supporting diverse learners in a college

Qualifications

  • GCSE level standard education or equivalent (maths & English).
  • Experience in supporting learners with learning difficulties/disabilities is desirable.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

Job description

Your role will be to deliver an ambitious curriculum to all by providing additional learning support to learners with learning difficulties/disabilities or additional support needs to assist the delivery of a quality learning experience.
