Job summary

Hednesford Valley High School in Cannock is seeking a Classroom Assistant (Curriculum Area Learning Supervisor) for a permanent 37-hour week, term-time-only role. Start date ASAP. You will support learners in class, assist with activities and help create resources, while working with teaching staff to raise attainment.

The role requires GCSEs (C/4+) in numeracy and literacy, plus an NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent. DBS checks, references and safeguarding commitments apply.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade C/4 or above in numeracy and literacy.
• NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification is required.
• Demonstrates excellent communication with students, parents/carers and professionals.
• Ability to use ICT to support teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality classroom support under supervision of teaching staff.
• Assist with learning activities and help produce resources.
• Act as Cover Supervisor in the absence of teaching staff.
