Job summary

Kellan Group on behalf of an independent school in Cirencester is seeking a Kitchen Porter to maintain cleanliness, support chefs, and ensure smooth meal service during lunch times.

The role offers term-time work with Monday to Friday daytime hours, none weekends, plus 33 weeks of school holidays paid. Salary is around £19,240 per year, with DBS check required and a strong work ethic expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is a plus, but full training will be provided.
• Note: DBS check required due to school setting; driving licence may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen, washing-up, and dining areas.
• Operate the dishwasher and wash pots, pans, utensils, and crockery efficiently.
• Assist the chef team with basic food preparation and stocking kitchen supplies.
• Dispose of waste properly and ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly met.
• Support smooth service during lunch and afternoon school meal times.
