Job summary

Wimbledon High School’s catering team is seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our fantastic team. You will lead daily catering and hospitality on a term-time basis, with a hands-on approach to food production and menu planning to drive sales and quality.

The Head Chef requires someone who can manage staff calmly, protect food safety standards, and monitor costs while delivering high-quality menus for about 1000 pupils and staff daily.

Qualifications

• Excellent and Innovative culinary and presentation skills.
• Energetic with a passion to do a great job.
• Able to manage staff in a calm, inspirational manner.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the food production with a hands-on approach.
• Driving sales through centrally driven menu planning and promotions and preferred suppliers.
• Responsible for all aspects of food safety, HS and COSHH.
• Head Chef will implement and maintain food monitoring procedures to control costs and monitor kitchen costs.
