Job summary

Ark Alexandra Academy in Hastings is seeking an enthusiastic Individual Needs Assistant to join our dedicated team. This term-time only role covers 39 weeks a year with pay spread evenly across the year.

You will support learners with SEN, help remove barriers to progress, and deliver targeted small-group and 1:1 interventions within a busy school environment, working closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of learning.

Qualifications

• Experience of removing barriers so that students make at least good progress.
• Experience of working with students with SEN.
• Experience developing and implementing high quality programmes and interventions for students.
• Resilient, calm and professional under pressure in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Aid the student(s) to learn as effectively as possible in group situations and on their own.
• Deliver targeted small-group support with pre-teach and post-teach input to reinforce key curriculum content and ensure GCSE access.
