Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to join Hutchesons’ Grammar in Glasgow. You will lead the kitchen operation, cost efficiency and menu development within agreed budgets to improve sales.

The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only (38 weeks), with free meals on shift and access to PerkBox and additional perks. This is a great opportunity to develop a professional team and deliver high-quality dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Relevant culinary qualifications required.
• Previous experience acting as Head Chef.
• Experience in an educational environment is preferred.
• Can-do attitude and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Trains and leads culinary and kitchen staff to use standard food production techniques and ensure quality in final presentation.
• Placing orders and menu planning; responsible for stock management and P&L.
• Maintain staff records including training, shift checklists and performance data; ensure computer literacy and multitasking.
• Identify training needs and deliver training on new procedures and equipment; implement company policies.
