Job summary

The University of Bath Campus Services is hiring a General Porter to support kitchens and hospitality operations. The role covers stock delivery and receiving, setting up tables and furniture, maintaining high hygiene standards and cleaning kitchen equipment.

Week pattern includes early mornings, evenings and weekends on a 5-out-of-7, term-time contract of 36.5 hours per week. There is a campus services bonus scheme including a starter bonus and refer-a-friend bonus, subject to terms.

Qualifications

• Reliable and flexible team player with a positive attitude.
• Committed to high hygiene, safety and food quality standards.
• Experience in a kitchen porter/general porter role preferred.
• Good communication via email; basic finance/stock software advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and receive stock and set up tables and furniture.
• Maintain hygiene, operate dishwashers, daily cleaning of kitchen equipment.
• Work early mornings, evenings and weekends on a 5/7 pattern.
