Job summary

Ipswich School is seeking an Events Supervisor to oversee catering for school events and daily lunch service. You will lead frontline staff, manage event coordination, and ensure allergen labeling and high standards of service across multiple sites.

The role requires a driving licence, NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality and a flexible, customer-focused approach within term-time hours. Salary circa £19,935 per annum with holiday periods and benefits.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.
• NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Be flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and preparation of catering for school events and sports fixtures.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available for each function.
• Attend weekly coordination meetings to review events and update requirements.
• Schedule and allocate staffing for catering services at sports fixtures.
• Oversee allergen labeling for all packaged items and assist with daily lunch service.
• Brief and lead front-of-house staff to deliver courteous, professional service.
• Act as a key contact for event organisers, pupils and guests.
• Coordinate event set-ups and lunches across all school sites.
