Job summary

The Purbeck School is seeking a capable XS 10.7 Cover Supervisor to supervise students in the classroom when the subject teacher is absent. The role is term-time only, with potential for both full-time and part-time hours, and requires strong organisational skills and a track record as a Teaching Assistant or similar educational role.

Applicants should have at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (Grade C or equivalent).

Qualifications

• 5 GCSE’s Grade C or equivalent to include English and Maths is essential.
• Recent successful experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar position within an educational environment would be desirable.
• We are looking for a responsible, well-organised person to supervise students in the classroom in the absence of the subject teacher.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the classroom in the absence of the subject teacher.
• Manage classroom activities and monitor student progress during supervision period.
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare of students during supervision as per school policy.
