Job summary

Aramark UK in Pontefract is seeking a talented Chef to ensure the smooth running of in-house food at New College Pontefract. The role focuses on breakfast, lunch and dinner service, with a commitment to safeguarding and KCSIE standards.

You will join a talented team with strong training and development, shift patterns 6am–2pm, term-time working 39 weeks, and perks including free meals, parking, gym access, and PerkBox discounts, plus life assurance and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Experience operating at Chef level.
• It literate and able to use kitchen IT systems.
• Passionate about food and people.

Responsibilities

• You will be running shifts and guiding your team when the Head Chef is not present, producing meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• You will organise and support your team to ensure a smooth operation daily, allocating tasks.
• You will produce food in line with recipes and know allergen information.
• You will manage production and stock, place orders, and ensure FIFO.
• You will carry out deep cleans and ensure staff training.
