Miquill is seeking a Chef Manager to take full financial and operational responsibility for a school's catering facility. This hands-on leadership role requires delivering high-quality, creative meals while driving profitability and maintaining the highest service standards.

You’ll lead from the front, manage a talented kitchen team, and oversee cost control, menu development, and compliance with health and safety regulations. A rewarding role in a supportive, family-like environment.

Qualifications

• Natural, positive manager with experience leading a team in a commercial catering setting.
• Strong financial understanding of gross profit management and cost control.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients and high cooking standards.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and compliance.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the entire catering operation, balancing leadership with commercial acumen.
• Operational Leadership: Inspire, manage, and motivate the team to deliver dining aligned with company standards.
• Culinary Excellence: Lead preparation of nutritious meals and drive menu development.
• Team Development: Coach and train staff to build a high-performing unit.
• Commercial Control: Manage stock, food, labour and profitability.
• Sales & Growth: Drive monthly promotions and added-value events.
