Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Maternity Cover Chef Manager at St Marys Catholic School, Gillingham. The role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (39 weeks per year) with a compensation of 13.98 per hour.

The successful candidate will lead food preparation to Caterlink standards, ensure health and safety compliance, manage the location and budget, and act as the main client contact within the school, driving improvements and student nutrition.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures
• To uphold Caterlink’s reputation for excellent food and service and exceed client expectations
• To manage day-to-day running of the location and supervise teams, inventories, budgets and action plans
• To be the main client contact in the school, implementing regular adjustments and improvements
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
• Train and support teams to ensure high performance and completed training
