Job summary

ISS is recruiting for Part Time Catering Assistants and Catering Team Leaders at various schools in the area. You will oversee day-to-day catering operations, leading a team to deliver nutritious meals while upholding food safety and customer service standards.

The role involves leading the team, managing stock and reporting, with travel between local sites. A full UK driving licence is required and ISS will reimburse mileage; Enhanced DBS check will be arranged and funded by ISS.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering supervisory or management role is desirable but not essential; full training provided.
• Food safety, health & safety, and compliance knowledge desirable.
• Excellent communication, organisation and people leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the catering team to deliver excellent food and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, safeguarding and company policies.
• Deliver high‑quality meals aligned with menus and dietary requirements.
• Build positive relationships with clients, students and colleagues.
• Manage stock, ordering, production and waste control effectively.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reporting.
• Travel between local school sites as Area Relief Team Leader; driving licence and own vehicle required; mileage reimbursed.
