Job summary

Aspens Services in Witham is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen during the school day, performing basic food preparation and delivering friendly service to pupils and staff.

You will join a busy team with training provided, enjoy a predictable Monday-to-Friday schedule during term time (35 hours/week, 39 weeks/year), and have opportunities to develop through our Learning & Development program.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Team player in a busy environment.
• Basic health and safety knowledge.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 preferred but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service and handling payments.
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and Health & Safety compliance.
