Job summary

St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School in Redcar is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant (Level 3) to support pupils before and after school. You will work under the Headteacher, providing care, supervision and learning support during term time.

The successful candidate will hold at least Level 3 childcare/early years qualification and Paediatric First Aid, with focus on safeguarding, literacy and numeracy. Training and CPD opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• An understanding of safeguarding and Child Protection issues essential
• Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
• Ability to relate well to children and adults essential
• Basic understanding of child development and learning essential
• Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation essential
• Use of equipment such as interactive whiteboard, video, photocopier essential
• Experience working with children of relevant age essential
