Premier Education is hiring a part-time Wraparound Care Playworker in Shaftesbury (Ludwell area). You will support breakfast and after-school activities for primary children, with a focus on safe, inclusive play and building confidence.

Working with the Site Lead, you’ll engage kids in creative and active activities, manage handovers, and help maintain a welcoming environment during term-time sessions across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (paid or voluntary).
• Understanding of how to create safe, fun and inclusive play for children of all ages and abilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from the Site Lead.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and children’s wellbeing.
• A warm, patient and encouraging approach to working with children.
• Reliable transport to attend sessions on time, including morning and afternoon shifts.
• Willingness to complete required safeguarding, paediatric first aid and food hygiene training, and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsabilités

• Help plan and deliver fun, engaging and inclusive play activities.
• Support the Site Lead with the daily running of the club, including safe collection and handover of children.
• Provide age-appropriate personal or intimate care where required, in line with company policies.
• Set up play areas, prepare refreshments and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and involve children in choosing activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, schools and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and EYFS procedures, including reporting concerns and administering first aid where required.
