Job summary

Capgemini in Northampton is seeking an experienced Teradata Migration Solution Architect to lead large-scale migrations from Teradata to AWS. You will define target architectures, migration strategies, and governance to support enterprise data transformation programs.

The role offers hybrid working across offices and client sites, with a focus on cloud data platforms (Redshift, S3, Glue) and modern data practices.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in large-scale Teradata migration and cloud modernization.
  • Proficient in Teradata Vantage, BTEQ, TPT and Fast Load.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Aurora and data lakehouse platforms.
  • Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, DataOps and DevSecOps.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define Teradata migration strategy and modernization roadmap.
  • Assess workloads, schemas, ETL processes and dependencies.
  • Design migration solutions to AWS services and data platforms.
  • Lead migration planning, wave management and data validation.
  • Establish governance, security, lineage and compliance controls.
  • Partner with business, engineering and security teams.
