Job summary

BRUSH Group is seeking a Tendering Engineer to drive commercial success by preparing and managing tenders, bids and cost analyses across switchgear products. You will work with Sales and Procurement to develop commercially viable solutions aligned with client needs and business objectives.

The role requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise in MV/LV switchgear, and a proactive, collaborative approach to ensure compliant and winning bids.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Technical background and experience in MV and LV Electrical Switchgear.
• Strong understanding of components and features of electrical switchgear.
• Keen to learn and develop.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Pro-active attitude and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• To undertake the effective development and preparation of commercial and technical offers across the range of switchgear products.
• To effectively assess and validate incoming enquiries to identify our ability to offer and strategies to enhance the success of such offers.
• To liaise with Key Account Managers and Sales Managers to ensure an understanding of timescales and tactics in the preparation of Offers.
• To liaise with Engineering and Production departments to ensure technical aspects of customers' requirements are met in the most cost-effective manner.
• Reviewing tender Terms and Conditions and arriving at appropriate clarifications and exceptions as necessary.
• To control the quality and accuracy of the bid and ensuring that the optimal solution is submitted to the customer.
• To develop, negotiate and agree/confirm contract specifications with a variety of external groups, including contractors, end-users and OEM companies.

• To effectively assess and validate incoming enquiries to identify our ability to offer and strategies to enhance the success of such offers.
• To liaise with Key Account Managers and Sales Managers to ensure an understanding of timescales and tactics in the preparation of Offers.
• To liaise with Engineering and Production departments to ensure technical aspects of customers' requirements are met in the most cost-effective manner.
