Omexom Uk is seeking a Temporary Works Coordinator in the Birmingham area to manage all temporary works activities safely and compliantly across projects. You will coordinate designers, site teams and subcontractors, ensuring BS 5975 alignment and proper RAMS documentation.

The role requires a civil/structural engineering background, CITB TWC training, and a focus on safe, compliant execution of temporary works in line with CDM regulations.

Qualifikationen

• Civil or Structural Engineering qualification (HNC/HND minimum; degree desirable).
• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Training (essential).
• SMSTS or equivalent (desirable).
• Proven experience as Temporary Works Coordinator or similar.
• Good understanding of BS 5975 and CDM Regulations.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles and site safety.
• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, or power sectors (desirable).

Aufgaben

• Act as the focal point for all temporary works activities on allocated projects.
• Coordinate temporary works between designers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
• Ensure all temporary works are planned and managed in accordance with BS 5975 and company procedures.
• Prepare and issue design briefs, capturing site constraints and requirements.
• Review temporary works designs for buildability, compliance and alignment with the design brief.
• Ensure designs are checked, approved and, where required, submitted for third-party approval.
• Maintain a Temporary Works Register with design approvals, RAMS, inspection records and permits.
• Manage and control holds points through Permits to Load/Unload/Proceed.
• Ensure temporary works are installed, inspected, maintained and dismantled per approved designs and RAMS.
• Carry out or coordinate regular inspections and audits for compliance and risk.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks related to temporary works.
• Stop and report unsafe practices where necessary.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers, Engineers and Site Supervisors to integrate temporary with permanent works.
• Provide guidance and support to site teams on temporary works procedures and best practice.
