Job summary

Omexom Uk is seeking a Temporary Works Coordinator to oversee safe design, installation, use and removal of temporary works across projects in Wakefield. The role ensures compliance with BS 5975 and CDM regulations and requires coordination between designers, site teams and clients.

You will maintain the Temporary Works Register, prepare design briefs and ensure third-party approvals where needed, while guiding site teams on best practices and safety.

Qualifications

• Civil/structural engineering background required with appropriate certification.
• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Training is essential.
• SMSTS or equivalent is desirable.
• Proven experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point for all temporary works on allocated projects.
• Coordinate temp works between designers, site teams, subcontractors and clients for safe delivery.
• Ensure all temp works follow BS 5975 and company procedures.
• Prepare and issue design briefs capturing site constraints.
• Review designs for buildability, compliance, and alignment with brief.
• Ensure designs are checked, approved, and submitted for third-party approval when required.
• Maintain a Temporary Works Register with approvals, RAMS, inspections and permits.
• Manage Permits to Load/Unload/Proceed and controls at hold points.
• Ensure install, inspection, maintenance and dismantling per RAMS and approved designs.
• Carry out inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify risks.
• Identify, assess and mitigate temp works risks; stop unsafe practices.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers, Engineers and Supervisors for integration with permanent works.
• Provide guidance to site teams on temp works procedures and best practice.
