Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a Temporary Works Designer to join the Engineering and Assurance Team supporting the Sizewell C project. The role covers design and coordination across Earthworks, Main Civil Works, and Marine & Tunnels, ensuring buildability, budget adherence, and client approvals.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years’ experience in temporary works design, proficiency with AutoCAD and related tools, and a degree in civil or structural engineering.

Competenze

• Proven experience delivering temporary works design on site during construction.
• Experience of site-based activities and knowledge of proprietary equipment used in temporary works.
• Familiar with BS5975:2019 and related design standards.
• Ability to design in multiple materials using British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Disciplined QA/documentation mindset with attention to detail.

Mansioni

• Design, check and assure temporary works solutions per standards (BS 5975, Eurocodes, CIRIA).
• Deliver designs across Earthworks, Marine & Tunnels, Main Civil Works scopes.
• Develop and manage standard design solutions and proprietary systems.
• Check subcontractor designs and provide technical assurance where needed.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, reports and risk assessments.
