Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Temporary Works Design Manager to lead TW design on site for complex civil works interfaces. You will coordinate internal TW designers, subcontractors and permanent works teams to ensure buildable, safe designs aligned with the delivery programme.

The role requires proven TW design management in major construction projects, strong stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to digital delivery and design assurance. CSCS may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree and professional qualification required.
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience, including 2+ years in leading TW design management.
• Major project construction experience in civil/structural/tunnelling in a contractor-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead TW design on site and ensure buildability with permanent works.
• Coordinate TW designers, subcontractors and site teams for feasibility and installation.
• Ensure independent checks, peer reviews and technical reviews are planned and executed.
• Maintain TW design management plans and lookahead aligning with programme.
