Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking a Design Engineer specialising in Temporary Works on major UK projects. You will deliver well-considered temporary works design solutions for basements, façade retentions, tower crane bases, scaffolds and other ground-retention schemes.

You should be degree-level qualified in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering, or Chartered with ICE, IStructE or Institution of Geologists, and have knowledge of soil-structure interaction, steelwork and concrete frame

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Civil, structural or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status with ICE, IStructE or Institution of Geologists.
• Knowledge of soil–structure interaction, steelwork and concrete frame design.

Responsibilities

• Deliver temporary works design solutions for basements propping, façade retentions, tower crane bases, scaffolds and major ground retention schemes.
