Kier Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our civil, structural and geotechnical teams. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio across multiple sites, delivering temporary works design and checking, and supporting preconstruction planning.
We are looking for practically-minded engineers working toward CEng/IEng or equivalent. The role offers agile working with some remote days and exposure to Kier's major project pipeline.
Temporary Works Design Engineer
We're looking for civil, structural and/orgeotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK.
Locations: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth – agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired
Hours: 40 hours per week – flexibility on hours available if desired
Salary: Starting from £40k per annum
Sector: Working across all sectors of the built environment

What will you be responsible for?
Contributing to the delivery of a broad range of complex construction engineering services, including some or all of: temporary works design and checking, reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning, and providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.
