Job summary

Murphy Applied Engineering, Scotland, is seeking a Design Engineer to deliver temporary works designs across a variety of Murphy projects. You will join a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to safe, efficient, and constructible solutions.

The role involves site visits, collaboration with other engineers, and developing solutions that meet project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• HND/Bachelor/Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (required).
• Experience in civil/structural engineering design is essential.
• Familiarity with temporary works design and project collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking engineering designs on a wide range of temporary works schemes across Murphy projects.
• Representing the MAE team in collaborative project team meetings.
• Undertaking site visits when appropriate.
• Working collaboratively with other engineers to produce optimal temporary works solutions.

A day in the life of a Murphy Temporary Works Design Engineer

• - Undertaking engineering designs on a wide range of temporary works schemes across the full portfolio of Murphy projects.
• - Representing the MAE team in collaborative project team meetings.
• - Undertaking site visits when appropriate.
• - Working collaboratively with other engineers within the group to produce the best engineered solution to temporary works problems.
