Job summary

TATA Steel are currently looking for a Temporary Works Co-ordinator to join the Port Talbot site on a three-year project.

You will maintain the Temporary Works Register, manage design checks and issue permits, ensuring all temporary works are designed, inspected and constructed to BS 5975 with strong safety controls.

The position offers £40–£43k per year depending on experience, with a clear path to progression within the project.

Qualifications

• Experience as site engineer, construction manager or civil engineer.
• CITB TWCTC is required.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification is required.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Site Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the Temporary Works Register (TWR).
• Managing design and checks.
• Issuing permits and enforcing formal procedural controls.
• Overseeing site execution and inspections.
• Stop-work authority to halt unsafe works.
