Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd, on behalf of a Facilities Management client, is seeking a Site Manager for a short-term project in Middlesborough. The role involves installing two porta cabins and overseeing site activities to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Requirements include SMSTS, Enhanced DBS, First Aid, time-served trade or HNC/HND/NVQ, and IT proficiency. The assignment is approximately 4 weeks starting 21 October 2026, with a daily rate of 245, pay for 8 hours.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification is required.

• Time served tradesperson or equivalent level qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ) is required.
• Ability to use IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all site activities in line with Health & Safety policies.
• Work to RAMS.
• Monitor quality and progress.
• Coordinate direct and indirect (subcontractor) personnel.
• Lead and deliver against the project programme.
• Liaise with internal departments.
• Maintain high quality records/reports/paperwork on time.
• Provide regular updates with the Contracts Manager and client.

Temp Site Manager - Middlesborough

We are currently supporting one of our Facilities Management clients in their search for a Site Manager for project works in Middlesborough.

Work will involve installation of 2 porta cabins. This is due to start on 21st October 2026 and will last around 4 weeks, potentially longer.

For the role, you must have SMSTS. An enhanced DBS will also be required.

As Site Manager you will take full responsibility for the Site Activities which will include:

• Delivering all Construction activities in line with Health & Safety policies
• Working to RAMS
• Monitoring quality and progress
• Coordinating direct and indirect (Subcontractor) personnel
• Lead and deliver against project programme
• Liaison with internal departments
• Ensuring high quality records / reports / paperwork are maintained and completed in a timely fashion
• Regular liaison and site updates with the Contracts Manager
• Regualar liasion with the client
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate a previous and successful track record.

Key qualifications will include:

• SMSTS

• Time served Tradesperson or qualified to appropriate level HNC/HND/NVQ
• Ability to use IT systems

Pay rate for this position is 245 per day based on 8 hours.
