Job summary

Sports Direct in Canterbury is seeking a Temporary Sales Assistant for the Summer period to bring energy, enthusiasm and customer focus to every shift. You will help customers with product selections and ensure the store looks inviting, contributing to a first-class shopping experience.

This role offers flexible hours, weekend/evening shifts, and opportunities to develop skills through on-the-job training and national qualifications within a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with every customer to deliver outstanding service
• Use your product knowledge to offer tailored recommendations
• Support the team in delivering store goals
• Help maintain store standards through stock presentation and replenishment
• Support visual merchandising standards that reflect the Sports Direct brand
• Assist with deliveries and stock processing
• Ensure pricing is up-to-date and accurate
• Support stock counts and inventory accuracy
• Be available to work over the Summer period (bank holidays, weekends and evenings) – a must

As a Temporary Sales Assistant for the Summer period (ending 13th September), you’ll bring energy, enthusiasm, and customer focus to every shift. From helping customers with product selections to maintaining the look and feel of the store, you’ll contribute to a first‑class shopping experience, all while gaining valuable skills and building your confidence in a fun, fast‑moving retail environment.
