Job summary

Essential Employment is seeking a Project Systems Accountant in Brentwood for a temporary role focused on developing, enhancing and operating the organisation’s financial management systems.

You will lead key system projects, manage configuration, access, testing and training, and work with Finance and ICT to deliver improvements, manage risks and strengthen reliability. AAT/CIPFA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and professional judgement.
• Experience with finance system implementations or transformation projects.
• Ability to drive high standards of financial governance and system performance.
• Desirable: AAT, CIPFA, CIMA or ACCA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, enhancement and smooth operation of the organisation’s corporate financial management systems.
• Manage system configuration, user access, testing and training with Finance and ICT teams.
• Support budgeting, budgeting control, reconciliations, year‑end processes and financial reporting.
