Ashley Kate HR & Finance is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a temporary contract in Cannock (Hybrid). The role supports payroll and benefits administration across multiple European countries.

Immediate start is required, with responsibilities spanning end-to-end payroll operations, compliance, and employee support. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll legislation, and proficiency with payroll systems and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Experience with payroll systems and HR platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, lookups and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience in international payroll and benefits administration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage payroll processes across multiple European locations.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers, benefits vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll delivery.
  • Process payroll changes including starters, leavers, salary amendments, and benefit updates.
  • Administer employee benefits, pensions, leave, and absence management.
  • Maintain HR and payroll records ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Produce payroll, benefits, and management reports for audits and reconciliations.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on payroll and benefits queries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and experience.

Payroll Specialist (Temporary Contract)

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll and employee benefits administration across multiple European countries. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing international organisation, taking ownership of payroll operations, benefits administration, compliance, and employee support across a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage payroll processes across multiple European locations.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers, benefits vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
  • Process payroll changes including starters, leavers, salary amendments, and benefit updates.
  • Administer employee benefits, pensions, leave, and absence management.
  • Maintain accurate HR and payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and GDPR requirements.
  • Produce payroll, benefits, and management reports, supporting audits and financial reconciliations.
  • Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on payroll and benefits-related queries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' payroll experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and compliance.
  • Experience working with payroll systems and HR platforms.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, reconciliations, Pivot Tables, and lookups.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience of international payroll and benefits administration would be highly advantageous.
