Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group has partnered with a Havant-based business to recruit a Payroll Assistant for a short-term temporary assignment. You will own the weekly payroll process for ~120 employees while the permanent postholder is on annual leave, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in a friendly team.

The role requires end-to-end payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll legislation, and the ability to work independently. Onsite parking is provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience with strong understanding of payroll processes.
• Experience using Sage Payroll is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for ~120 employees accurately and on time.
• Gather information from clocking cards and validate payroll data.
• Calculate overtime payments and shift allowances.
• Complete RTI submissions and pension uploads.
• Process payroll through BACS and produce payslips.
• Respond to payroll-related queries during the payroll cycle.
